I have a aphasia and I can’t speak. What does aphasia group do? How many people?

      Hi Mr. Zorn,

My name is Carin. I am a Speech Pathologist with the aphasia group.

We have meetings 2 times a month. During the meetings we practice communication in a social environment. We also have special seasonal outings such as winery tours, Holiday Party/Lights Tour, and postcard writing to name a few.

We have approximately 12 current members. Our meetings usually have about 5 people with aphasia and their family members. We are a small group and would love to have you come to a meeting.

We are having our annual Holiday party tomorrow Wednesday Dec 14 at 5:00. We are meeting at UW Eau Claire in the lobby of the Human Sciences Building on Water Street (Across from the construction). We will then go on a bus to see the Christmas Lights at Irvine Park. Afterwards we will be having snacks and games at the University (where we met initially).

Our next group meeting is on Friday December 16th. It is at the UW Eau Claire Human Sciences building at 10:30am. We meet in room 179. Would love to see you there!

Please email me at carin_keyes@msn.com if you have further questions.

      Thanks for your inquiry!
